Posted on: 22 September 2022

If you are starting a new construction company, one thing you must do is learn how to handle waste after you finish a job. It is important that you take care of this waste properly throughout the job. This will prevent employees from getting injured or other people that visit the site. This will also make things much easier when you finish if you take care of waste throughout the job. You should consider hiring a dumpster service to help you. Below is more information about this, as well as the different types of dumpsters you can choose from.

Dumpster Service

One of the easiest ways to deal with construction waste is to rent one or more dumpsters to have on the property. This way your employees can deal with waste as they get it, so the area stays clean all the time.

Contact a dumpster rental company to provide you with the dumpsters. They will bring the dumpsters to you, pick them up when they become full, and return with empty dumpsters if needed.  If you have a large construction site, choose more than one dumpster so you can have one in different areas.

Some dumpster rental companies will recycle items for you if you would like this. Much construction waste can be recycled from rocks, wood, plastics, etc. This will keep these things out of the landfill. Not all dumpster rental companies offer this so make sure you ask.

Types of Construction Dumpsters

There are different types of construction dumpsters you can rent. Large dumpsters are available for you so it will take longer to fill them up. Open-top dumpsters are generally best to make it easier for employees to throw things away. They can simply throw the items over the dumpster and into it. These dumpsters are also known as roll-off dumpsters as they are on wheels and simply roll onto a truck when taken off the site.

There are also front-load dumpsters available. This type of dumpster loads onto a truck in the front. The top of the dumpster slants downward so your employees can drop the materials in. Front-load dumpsters have slots on the side so a dump truck can insert prongs to lift the construction dumpster when it is time to remove it.

There are rear-load dumpsters you can use. A hinge and winch system is used when dumping contents into the dumpster. When the dumpster becomes full, it is loaded onto the rear of the truck.

Talk with a dumpster rental company to learn much more about these dumpsters so you choose the right one. For more information on construction waste removal, contact a professional near you.
